What’s Happening With Jensen Ackles’ Character in ‘Tracker’ Season 2?
Tracker Season 2 has started production. Now that viewers know that Jensen Ackles is returning as Colter Shaw’s brother Russell, what will Justin Hartley’s character learn?
Here is what the cast and the executive producers revealed at TCA Summer 2024.
What’s Happening With Jensen Ackles’ Character In Tracker Season 2?
When viewers learned of Colter Shaw’s back story in Tracker Season 1, a big part of this was his brother’s Russell’s involvement. However, as the season progressed, Justin Hartley’s character learned that there were some secrets kept that night. For example, who was that man who his mom met in the woods the night before his father died? Why did she tell Russell not to talk about it after their father’s death?
At the recent TCA Summer 2024, the executive producers and cast were ready to talk about Season 2. Russell and Colter ended Season 1 better than how it began, but what is next? Also, what about Dory (Melissa Roxburgh)? She worked on reuniting the brothers.
Colter Shaw has always been a loner. Can he open up and work with others? The result could be solving what really happened to his father. But, it sounds like he will learn about things in small bites.
Executive producer Elwood Reed spoke to TV Insider about this. “They’ll be coming in and out of the show.” Reed added, “If we can drop a few bombs into Colter’s life with those characters and then see how he wrestles with those, then we’ll earn them coming back to sort of sort out.”
He then hinted about an episode in the upcoming season. “In Episode 2, he’s got very different memories of something that happened in their past that Colter has no memory of.”
Justin Hartley On The Two Colter Brothers
This Is Us alum Justin Hartley likes the story of the Colter brothers. After Colter learns that he is wrong about Russell, he starts to rethink everything else. He shared, “So there’s more story to tell there.” After confirming that he is happy that Jensen is returning, the Young and The Restless alum revealed they have a great time acting together. “He is a riot and a super-talented actor as well.”
As for Melissa, he shared that she is “a close friend.” He added that there is “more story to tell” there as well.
