Paramount’s hit neo-Western drama Yellowstone is coming to an end with the release of its fifth season finale.
After five exciting seasons, Paramount’s Yellowstone is coming to an end with the release of its final series. The neo-Western drama has been a huge success, as evidenced by the release of multiple spin-offs.
The series, which follows the trials and tribulations faced by the Dutton family in protecting their ranch, has finished production on its final few episodes. So when will Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 premiere? Let’s find out.
Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 will premiere on Paramount Network and Paramount+ on November 10, 2024, two years after the release of the first season. The second season will consist of six episodes, including the series finale, and is expected to air on a weekly schedule.
The cast said goodbye to their beloved characters when filming for the final season wrapped up in early August 2024. Although production was originally scheduled to begin in 2023, it faced delays due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. Kevin Costner’s departure from the series after Season 5 Part 1 proved to be another hurdle. However, the show has overcome all the challenges and is finally ready to hit the airwaves in November.
Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2: Cast
As we mentioned, Kevin Costner has left the series and will not be returning as John Dutton. Other members of the cast will continue to appear on the show. The main cast includes Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Kelly Reilly as Bethany “Beth” Dutton, Wes Bentley as James Michael “Jamie” Dutton, Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, and Kelsey Asbille as Monica Long Dutton.
The rest of the cast includes Jefferson White as Jimmy Hurdstram, Forrie J. Smith as Lloyd Pierce, Gil Birmingham as Chief Thomas Rainwater, Moses Brings Plenty as Mo, Finn Little as Carter, and Wendy Moniz as Governor Lynelle Perry.
Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2: Plot
With tensions rising among the Dutton family, the finale will wrap up the series’ storyline. Beth now wants to kill Jamie after learning about Train Station, while Jamie conspires with Sarah Atwood against the family. Meanwhile, Rip is in Texas with the ranchers.
Meanwhile, Jamie’s impeachment bid threatens John’s governorship and his plans to preserve the ranch. Additionally, the Broken Rock tribe, led by Chief Rainwater, could have an impact on the outcome, especially since the pipeline project is at stake. Additionally, we could see the deaths of several major characters at the end of the film, bringing closure to their stories.
