Bring back the Huxtables? Phylicia Rashad admits she isn’t impressed by today’s sitcoms.

The longtime Mount Vernon resident, who played matriarch Claire Huxtable for eight years on “The Cosby Show,” says current shows are “no comparison” to Bill Cosby’s classic sitcom.

“The difference between Mr. Cosby’s humor and a lot of what you see today…it appealed to the intellect,” she said during an interview with Huff Post Live.

“We had a team of writers who were paying attention,” she explained. “This is something else that’s different in television today. I just recently was on another television show and I wondered if the writers were ever in the same room together…They work differently today. But then, the writers were in the same room all the time, and they’re paying attention and they’re growing and they’re moving together. Today it’s a little bit different.”
