Robert Pattinson Brought “Hard Elegance” to the Dior Show
Dad’s night out! Yesterday in Paris, Dior designer Kim Jones unveiled his spring 2025 menswear collection, and new father Robert Pattinson—who welcomed his first child, a baby girl, with Suki Waterhouse back in March—made an appearance in the front row, among other celebrities such as Demi Moore and Maluma. “It’s always such an honor to experience Kim’s shows,” Pattinson tells Vogue. “They always feel so immersive, playful, inventive. You can really feel how much he enjoys synthesizing his influences into beautiful craftsmanship.”
The actor may have recently been navigating the joys of new parenthood, but took a moment to take in some fresh menswear fashion in the City of Light. “This collection was beautiful,” says Pattinson. His favorite looks were those that were all about the juxtaposition. “I loved the contradictory materials like plastic hoods inside tailored overcoats,” he says. “The green iridescent suit would definitely be one of my favorites.” (We would love to see him in that, too.)
Naturally, Pattinson—who is no stranger to a fashion week front row—had to bring his own statement look to the affair. The actor chose a cool, unstructured suit that was all about subverting traditional tailoring. “I always love material that feels pretty hard wearing while still being elegant,” says Pattinson. “This is the kind of outfit you could wear while you build something, or wear for an occasion and still look great.”
Given the show was spring-focused, Vogue couldn’t resist asking Pattinson what he’s been buying for the season ahead. Turns out, the star is a big vintage aficionado. “I really love finding old pieces from labels I loved when I was a teenager, like Michiko Koshino, Good Enough, and Bounty Hunter,” says Pattinson. “And I always gravitate towards late ’90s, early ’00s Helmut Lang and Jil Sander.” What will you be seeing him in the summer ahead? He’ll be tapping into his epic streetwear archive. “I collect a lot of old streetwear from the early 2000s, especially from labels that don’t exist anymore,” he says. “One of my most treasured possessions is one of the original Supreme hoodies—something that Kim gave me when I was looking through his archive.” Coolest dad ever.
