Netflix has dropped the trailer for Part 2 of its Simone Biles Rising docuseries, which follows Bile’s journey to the 2024 Paris Olympics where she becomes the most decorated gymnast in history. Part 2 of the docuseries premieres October 25 on Netflix.
The trailer opens with Biles reflecting on how she’s gotten to this point, sharing “With everything that I’ve done and been through, I do feel that it gives me more confidence, but since I am older, I am a little bit more afraid.” She also talks about the stress of an Olympic year and the emotions it brings with it.
Simone Biles: Rising follows Biles and her return to the Olympic stage after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to focus on her mental health. Since then, she’s put in the work rebuilding her gymnastics from the ground up and she’s ready for this next stage of competition.
Per the description: Part 2 follows Biles “as she competes at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials and officially qualifies for the U.S. Olympic Team to her incredible performances in Paris, all the while sharing personal thoughts and moments of her incredible journey to become the most decorated gymnast in history. The four-episode series is produced by Religion of Sports in association with the Olympic Channel. Gotham Chopra, Ameeth Sankaran, Giselle Parets and Janey Miller executive produce. Kate Walsh will direct.
