Strictly Come Dancing: Gordon Ramsay wipes away tears as he gets emotional watching daughter Tilly
Gordon Ramsay showed his softer side on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday after he was left in tears by daughter Tilly’s performance.
The TV chef was in the audience for the most recent live show, where Tilly and her professional dancing partner Nikita Kuzmin topped the leaderboard for the second week.
The pair performed a Charleston for the judges and scored 34 points out of a possible 40.
After they finished dancing, the camera cut to show her parents’ reactions, with Gordon seen wiping away tears as he and his wife Tana cheered and applauded.
Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies, who finished last weekend, was also awarded 34 for her foxtrot with Aljaž Škorjanec.
Saturday’s total points are added together with last week’s and then one couple will be eliminated on Sunday following a public vote.
Overall, Tilly and Nikita finished fourth on the combined leaderboard with a total of 55 points out of 80, after their Waltz last week scored 21 points.
The leaderboards for weeks one and two were led by AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington with a total of 65 points.
After the show ended, Gordon posted on Instagram about how “proud” he was of Tilly.
Sharing a picture of her and Nikita, he wrote: “What an amazing performance tonight @bbcstrictly, empty seats @tillyramsay @nikita__kuzmin so proud, well done.”
It seems Gordon has also been infected with Strictly, as he also posted a series of photos of himself on the dance floor.
Sharing a picture of himself passed out in a ballroom, he wrote: “Just finished rehearsal for @bbcstrictly #ChristmasSpecial [sic].”
