“The Cosby Show” alum Geoffrey Owens is a proud father.

Earlier this week, the 61-year-old actor — who played Sondra Huxtable’s husband Elvin Tibideaux on the ’80s sitcom — hit the red carpet for the Netflix show, “Unpaird,” with his son, Jordyn Owens, who plays Trey in the series.
“I’m beyond proud,” he told Page Six, “I’m speechless.”

This is the first acting role for the 23-year-old Montclair native, who was a guard for the University of Massachusetts Lowell basketball team.

Jordyn seemed a bit stunned that his first role saw him acting opposite Tisha Campbell and Marcia Gay Harden, exclaiming that “especially for a first project, it doesn’t get better than this.” ”. He also developed an unexpected career as a painter. , started during the pandemic when he was bored and started sketching. Jordyn even appeared on the “Today” show to discuss her artwork.
Geoffrey — who has long taught Shakespeare and appeared on stage since “The Cosby Show” — revealed that he has had many discussions about the pitfalls of acting, saying, “ We worked together a lot.”

It’s no surprise that Jordyn also models and has been photographed by Bruce Weber, with the father paying attention to the way his son can turn heads. “I have been observing it for many years,” he revealed. “I’ve been watching it for the last five or six years.”
Also in attendance for the grand premiere were the show’s stars, Neil Patrick Harris with husband, David Burtka, Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks as well as Fran Drescher, Camryn Manheim and Caroline Rhea.
