The Office 50th Anniversary Art Imagines Elderly Cast (But Creed Doesn’t Look A Day Over 30)

The Office‘s 50th anniversary is imagined in a new piece of fan art that ages up the main cast considerably. First airing on NBC in 2005, the hit sitcom follows a group of employees at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who work under immature and eccentric manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell). John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, and Angela Kinsey, among others, lead the beloved Office cast, with viewers ultimately bidding farewell to the ensemble in 2013 after nine popular seasons.

As audiences await news on the announced reboot of The Office, new images shared by @theoffice.moments on Instagram imagines what the main cast would look like 50 years after the show’s premiere. Check out the art below:

While most of the central cast members (featured in the chart below) appear to be in their 70s and 80s, Creed Bratton, in a fun nod to a gag from the original series, is depicted with dyed black hair having not aged a day.

Will The Original Office Cast Ever Reunite?

Why A Revival Of The NBC Sitcom Is Unlikely

While various members of the cast have remained close and in contact in the years since The Office‘s finale (Krasinski and Carell just recently had a heartwarming reunion), none of the actors have yet reunited for a revival of the main series. Due to the show’s immense popularity, talk of a revival has essentially been ongoing since the finale, but it’s now looking relatively unlikely that the main cast will all reassemble for a dedicated project. That being said, it’s not impossible that some of the actors will reprise their roles.

The new Office series, which is being spearheaded by Greg Daniels, the creator of the American version of the show, just got an exciting bit of casting information. According to a new report, Domhall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore have been cast as part of a larger ensemble in a series that takes place in the same universe as the original show. Since the new iteration is more of a spiritual successor rather than a proper reboot, it’s possible that original members of The Office‘s cast could return to reprise their roles.

As happened with Friendsit’s also possible that the main cast members could reunite for some kind of TV special to reminisce about their time on the show. Next year, for example, will mark the show’s 20th anniversary, and this could be the perfect time for such a reunion. Hopefully, however, if any kind of reunion is on the way for The Office, it happens before the main cast are in their 70s and 80s.
