Tom Cruise To Join Hands With Elon Musk’s SpaceX To Make A Feature Film In Space!

One of my biggest fears is that I have to watch Tom Cruise die while doing the thing that he loves the most i.e. making films. I know that will be weirdly poetic but I don’t want to see that. And I don’t think my fears are baseless. I have seen Cruise jump from planes, strap himself onto the Burj Khalifa, move a helicopter in ways it shouldn’t move, and fly a goddamn airplane at mind-blowing velocity. And my anxiety levels are going interstellar after knowing that he’s about a shoot a film… in space.

“I’m hearing that Tom Cruise and Elon Musk’s Space X are working on a project with NASA that will be the first narrative feature film – an action adventure – to be shot in outer space. It’s not a Mission: Impossible film and no studio is in the mix at this stage but look for more news as I get it. But this is real, albeit in the early stages of liftoff.”

The only movie somewhat set in space that Tom Cruise has starred in is Oblivion and considering Cruise’s love for doing everything practically, I was sure that one day he’s just going to make a space releated film in space. And here we are. I am not sure when Cruise will be able to start filming for it because of the COVID-19 lockdown but I am excited to watch how it unfolds and so are others. Check out the reactions on social media:

Cruise’s stunts might look extremely reckless and spontaneous. However, they’re meticulously planned because, well, nobody (not even Tom Cruise) wants to watch their lead die on the set while performing a stunt. So, although the concept of a movie set in space sounds dangerous, I am sure Cruise and his team will take all the necessary precautions and make a film that will change the course of cinema.
