Tracker Finale Trailer: Watch Justin Hartley Reunite With Jennifer Morrison
The trailer marks the debut of Hartley’s This Is Us co-star Jennifer Morrison, who guest-starred in the dramatic finale of the CBS hit. The episode, titled “The Storm,” finds Colter investigating the disappearance of two amateur storm chasers — one of whom is the daughter of Lizzy Hawking, played by Morrison, an old family friend — who local police have ruled an accidental drowning. Soon, Colter’s “expert tracking skills lead him to uncover the dark side of a small-town resort,” according to the official logline, and that’s when things get really tense.
Hartley previously revealed to Collider that Morrison will appear on the show in a “main role,” playing “an old friend of [Colter’s] family from when they were kids…. That whole family relationship is revealed a little bit through her experience with him in the finale.” Morrison is the latest in a series of major casting additions to the CBS soap. Not only did Hartley’s real-life wife Sofia Pernas guest star as a bonus castmate earlier this season, but the show recently welcomed Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest) as Colter’s sister Dory and Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as Colter’s estranged brother Russell. (Both Roxburgh and Ackles are expected to return, though neither will appear in the finale on May 19.)
The House and Once Upon a Time veteran joined This Is Us in Season 4 as Cassidy Sharp, a recently returned Marine who struggled to return to civilian life and left her family torn apart. She eventually befriended Hartley’s Kevin Pearson and remained a fixture on the NBC drama through its sixth and final season.
Tracker was previously renewed for Season 2. It will return to CBS this fall in a new time slot, Sundays at 8 p.m., where it will lead into Season 5 of Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer. A premiere date has yet to be announced.
Morrison’s episode of Tracker airs Sunday, May 19 at 9 p.m. on CBS (and streams the next day on Paramount+). Scroll down to see more photos, then hit the comments section and let us know if you’re watching.
