Tracker: Sparks Fly Between Real-Life Marrieds Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas in Exclusive Sneak Peek
When it comes to on-screen chemistry, Mr. and Mrs. Hartley are giving Mr. and Mrs. Smith a run for their money.
TVLine has your exclusive first look at the March 24 episode of Tracker, which introduces Blood & Treasure‘s Sofia Pernas (aka Justin Hartley’s real-life wife) as fellow reward seeker Billie Matalon.
The episode — which airs at a special time, Sunday at 8/7c, on CBS — sees Colter Shaw reluctantly team with his competitor to track down a missing racehorse. But Billie isn’t just any competitor. She’s also Colter’s former partner and current nemesis, and she’s determined to find the thoroughbred and claim the reward money for herself. May the best man (or woman) win!
Hartley and Pernas — who, once upon a time, co-starred on the CBS soap opera The Young & The Restless — tied the knot in May 2021. As husband and wife, they acted opposite each other in a Season 1 episode of NBC’s Quantum Leap reboot.
As previously reported, Tracker was renewed for Season 2 just four episodes into its freshman run. “We knew we had something special when we saw the very first cut of the series and the overwhelming audience response confirms it,” CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach said at the time. “We couldn’t be more grateful to Justin, the talented cast, the incredible writing and producing teams and our partners at 20th Television for such compelling episodes. And, of course, we’re also so thankful to the millions of viewers tuning in each week.”
The one-hour drama — which is loosely based on the Jeffrey Deaver novel “The Never Game” — casts Hartley (This Is Us) as the aforementioned Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country and uses his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries. Rounding out the ensemble are Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene, Robin Weigert as Teddi Bruin, Abby McEnany as Velma Bruin and Eric Graise as Bob Exley. Wendy Crewson recurs as Colter’s mother Mary.
