We’re knee-deep into the competition for America’s Got Talent season 19, and the incredible acts have definitely brought the heat this summer!
Beginning from the season premiere back in May, folks tuned in on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET to catch incredible talent audition for a spot on the show. With Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel making up the panel of judges, they’ve been deemed speechless by some of the competitors vying for the chance to win it all.
Coupled with the fact the quartet and host Terry Crews have delivered their Golden Buzzers to a select few, the live shows will definitely be something to watch later this season.
But in an unexpected twist of events, viewers will be shocked to know America’s Got Talent will not air a new episode tonight, Tuesday, July 30. As for the reason behind it? Well, it has to do with another series of competitions happening on a different continent.
Make sure you have this date written down, because a new episode of AGT will return to NBC on Tuesday, August 13 at 8 p.m. ET.
For those curious about the reason behind the schedule change, this is because the 2024 Paris Olympics will be airing from July 24 to August 11 during that time slot on NBC. Showcasing a variety of different sports, folks can tune in to see which members of Team USA will take home gold medals.
Just as the competition heats up for the Olympics, Terry did give an update about what’s down the road for America’s Got Talent. Posting a photo on Instagram on July 23, the host shared that season 19 will pick up with the live shows upon returning to TV.
“The auditions are all done!” he wrote. “Join us after the Olympics for the first #AGT live show on August 13th.”
