Gymnastics: Simone Biles (USA) wins women’s vault gold!
It’s another gold for Biles – her third of Paris 2024 and seventh of her career!
Those two vaults she executed to near perfection were the difference, and despite two very good attempts from her teammate Jade Carey, no athlete is able to better Biles’ 15.300, which means Biles is the Olympic champion!
The crowd goes nuts as Biles celebrates, and there are equally loud cheers for Andrade in second, who ties ties sailors Torben Grael and Robert Scheidt as the most decorated Brazilian Olympians ever with five medals.
