Whether you’ve tuned in for years or it’s your first time watching, voting for America’s Got Talent can still be pretty confusing. Once the top 44 acts are past the qualifying rounds, it’s up to America to vote through their favorites, with judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara mostly relegated to giving out their opinions. But how does voting actually work?

How to Vote for America’s Got Talent

There are two ways to vote for America’s Got Talent. The first one is on NBC.com/AGTVote. All you have to do is register and click sign in, then click on the artists you wish to vote for and assign the number of votes you wish to cast to that artist, then click save. You can vote up to 10 times per method of voting, which means you could vote up to 10 times for one artist, or divide up those 10 votes between artists.

Alternatively, you can also vote by downloading the America’s Got Talent app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once you download the app, you need to create an account and sign in. After that, you can click on Vote Now. Similarly, you’ll click on the artist you want to vote for and assign them the number of votes you wish to cast, and then make sure you click the save button.

You can vote for your favorites starting every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET during the live shows, with the voting window closing Wednesdays at 7 a.m. ET.

America’s Got Talent Season 19 Schedule

Eleven acts will perform each Tuesday from August 13 to Tuesday, September 3rd. Each night fans will vote for their favorites, who will then be announced the following night, during the Wednesday results show. On top of that, the four judges will each have a Golden Buzzer, which will send one act straight to the finals. This is a new twist in the competition that gives the judges a lot more power than they’ve ever had before at this point.

Afterward, acts will advance to the semifinals, which are set to air on September 10th and will feature 12 acts. The two-night finale is set to air on Tuesday, September 17th, and Tuesday, September 24th.

The winner will be awarded 1 million dollars and also perform in the “America’s Got Talent Las Vegas LIVE” revue at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
