Some newly-released Fuller House behind-the-scenes images motivate viewers to call for another Full House spin-off. In 2016, Netflix brought back the Tanners to the small screen via the spin-off sequel. Fuller House ran for five seasons before the streamer pulled the plug on the show. Almost everyone from the cast has expressed their disappointment over its cancellation, saying that there are still stories left to tell about the beloved family.
Several years after Fuller House ended, Candace Cameron-Bure (DJ Tanner) shares new images from her time working on the show. Check out the adorable photos below:
Aside from evoking nostalgia, viewers in the comment section also expressed their desire to see another Full House spin-off. Fuller House star Dave Coulier (Joey) pushes his idea for the supposed Fullest House — a new show that aims to honor the legacy of the late Bob Saget and Danny Tanner.
Can Another Full House Spin-Off Happen?
The Fuller House series finale saw DJ, Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Kimmy (Andrea Barber) walk down the aisle and marry their respective partners. Admittedly, it’s a great send-off since the occasion also functioned as a family reunion, with many of the extended Tanner clan attending. However, it’s also no secret that the sequel was saving several plot lines for Fuller House season 6, which never happened. This already gives the proposed new show storylines to use as a jumping point.
Many of the original Full House cast members have expressed their interest in reuniting to bring the Tanners back to the small screen again. However, not everyone is as enthusiastic as Coulier about the idea. John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis) has previously said that he is officially closing the door on the Full House franchise, explaining that he doesn’t want to do the series again without Saget. Sweetin isn’t as straightforward as her on-screen uncle, but she isn’t entirely sold on the idea of returning as Stephanie just a few years after Full House ended.
Realistically, the chances of another Full House spin-off are low. Even if the majority of the cast return, no platform is currently interested in housing the proposed project. Just because there isn’t any Fuller House follow-up in the works doesn’t mean that content is scarce about the franchise. Viewers can check out two Full House rewatch podcasts — one hosted by Coulier, and the other by Sweetin and Barber.
