Zibby Allen is known for playing the no-nonsense attorney Brie Sheridan in Netflix’s hit series Virgin River.
The 43-year-old American star is no stranger to screens thanks to other roles in the likes of Grey’s Anatomy, which also starred her Virgin River onscreen brother Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson), Nancy Drew, The Exorcist and 30 Second Somebodies .
However, her role as firebrand Brie has led to more prominence with Allen set to be reprising her role in the upcoming Holiday Episodes coming out at the end of next month and also in season six.
In her role in Virgin River, Brie had a tough time after confronting her rapist and former boyfriend.
She also entered into a tumultuous romance with former Virgin River bad boy Dan Brady (Ben Hollingsworth).
However, she ended things after finding out Brady wasn’t being truthful about his dealings with Emerald Lumber for fear of putting her in further danger.
Most recently, Allen shared a cute throwback of herself as a child with her 143,000 Instagram followers to mark her birthday.
She captioned the sweet photo: “Proud of this little me for how far she’s allowed herself to come.”
In the snap, Allen has her hair in a half-up half-down ‘do with her blonde locks in gentle ringlets on her shoulders.
Allen has a sprinkling of freckles across her cheeks as she beams at the camera.
Many of Allen’s co-stars took to the comments section to wish her many happy returns with Preacher star Colin Lawrence posting: “That little girl had big dreams! Happy Birthday Zibby!!!!”
Marco Grazzini, who plays LAPD cop Mike Valenzuela, writes: “Happy Birthday lil’Zibby!”
Lizzie star Sarah Dugdale said: “Happy birthday Zibby!”
While Virgin River’s author Robyn Carr wrote: “Happy birthday @zibbyloo! Enjoy your day!”
Allen previously spoke about filming the show, which is set in the titular fictional northern Californian town but filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
She told Today last year: “It’s as beautiful as it looks on the show, if not more, and it’s such a special, rare opportunity to be able to film in a location like that long form.”
The star also admitted the timeline of the show needed to be sped up and joked they cast couldn’t keep up
She said: “I’m like, ‘You guys, eventually, you’re gonna have to do a time jump because we’re just aging [sic] way too fast for a five-month span.’
“But yeah, I think that the pregnancy thing was one of the first sort of tells because even I, when I was watching the show before I was on, was like, “Oh, this covers way more time in the story.” And it really doesn’t.”
