VIRGIN RIVER fans are still waiting for the release of the hotly anticipated fourth and fifth seasons, but one of the show’s main stars already has an exciting new project lined up.
Zibby Allen is best known as Brie, the vivacious younger sister of Virgin River’s troubled romantic lead Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson). With at least two more seasons of the hugely successful drama series coming to Netflix soon, the actress has recently teased a mysterious new role on her Instagram page.
The Virgin River star took to social media over the weekend with an exciting behind-the-scenes look at an upcoming project.
Her new clip features Zibby in a tan jacket, pink sweatshirt, and earpiece behind the steering wheel of a car as she gets her makeup checked.
“Every new project feels like a strange little dream,” she said in the caption, adding emojis of a window and musical notes.
Unfortunately, there have been no further details of what her new role could entail.
However, Zibby’s update was met by several comments from her 39.4k Instagram celebrating the news.
IG user @genevievebrock replied: “Awww Zibs! Amazing, so happy for you.”
And Virgin River fan @jordanmacnab commented: “Sweeeet you have a new project to play with.”
Her Virgin River co-star, Marco Grazzini, also replied to wish Zibby well on her upcoming screen adventure.
He joked: “Can I please borrow that earpiece for my phone scenes?”
To which Zibby replied: “Sure, yeah buds! just gonna need it back cuz it’s a relic – one of the last of its kind.” (sic)
There has been no word on where the Virgin River star could show up next, but she has appeared in a variety of popular TV series over the years.
Throughout 2006-2012, she appeared in a minor role as a nurse in ABC’s hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.
She later landed parts in more major TV shows, such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Flash and Jordan Peele’s revamp of The Twilight Zone.
Since the third season of Virgin River, Zibby has recurred as Jack’s sister Brie.
Throughout the latest two installations, Brie has been patching things up with her older brother, as well as starting a new relationship with his friend, Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth).
However, there were some devastating developments at the end of season three which left the status of their fledgling romance up in the air.
After Jack was shot by an unknown assassin, the police finally seemed to get a lead on the investigation and arrested Brady for the murder arrested.
The ex-Marine could be set up by local drug dealer Calvin (David Cubitt), though, while some fans even think Zibby could be behind the attack somehow.
Filming for season four is expected to start around March this year, so hopefully, fans won’t have to wait too long to get the answers they’re looking for
