Virgin River fans stunned by Martin Henderson’s Britney Spears connection

Virgin River fans have been left stunned by actor Martin Henderson’s connection to singer Britney Spears.

The star may be best known for playing Jack Sheridan on the Netflix show, but few knew that the actor also appeared in the music video for Spears’ 2004 mega-hit ‘Toxic’.

Some fans of the show discovered this fact over the course of the past week, and expressed their surprise as they shared clips of the now iconic video across social media.

“I am LOOOSING my mind,” wrote one fan on TikTok as they shared a snippet of Henderson in action, with another replying: “This is where I first fell in love with Martin Henderson”.

“Jack Sheridan?! Like Mr. Fix up your cabin?!” wrote another fan, with one user replying: “Man of my dreams.”

Henderson has previously spoken about his appearance in the video, telling Entertainment Tonight in 2020: “It was my dirty little secret. It was a weird day – I think it was on a Saturday or Sunday.

“I got a call a few days ago like ‘Hey, can you do this thing on the weekend?’ I’d just done this action movie called Torque for Warner Bros. and the director did all of Britney’s music videos.

“No one actually mentioned that I’d have to make out with Britney. The thing that struck me the most about meeting her was how down-to-earth she was. She was the sweetest and most genuine girl.”

While fans were left surprised by this appearance, they will soon be awaiting Henderson’s return as Jack, with production for the sixth season of Virgin River currently underway.

Co-star Alexandra Breckenridge recently shared an update while filming via social media, with the star showcasing a new hairstyle as she got back into character as Mel Monroe.

Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge has opened up about her on-screen wedding to Martin Henderson’s Jack in a future season of the hit TV show.

Breckenridge’s Mel and Jack have been engaged since the end of season four, but season five didn’t depict their wedding as many expected it to.

Instead, Mel discovered her estranged biological father. among other plotlines, while the wedding story has been saved for a future date.

specifically, Breckenridge and Hooper married at Colorado’s Dunton Hot Springs, a mining town now repurposed as a deluxe venue. Breckenridge, however, explained that she wants Mel and Jack’s wedding “to go in the opposite direction” to her own nuptials.

But the actress has come to terms with the fact that both weddings could indeed “end up looking very similar.”
