Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge makes surprise appearance ahead of new episodes

Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge swung by a popular American talk show this week while fans are waiting for more episodes of the popular Netflix show.

Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge showcased her culinary prowess during a surprise guest appearance on The Talk.

The actress joined co-hosts Natalie Morales, Sheryl Underwood, and Akbar Gbajabiamila last week, impressing viewers with a live cooking demonstration of her whole roasted curry seasoned chicken.

After the segment, the 41-year-old actress took to Instagram, sharing a clip and expressing her gratitude, “Cooking my chicken on ‘The Talk’ was a blast. Thank you, everyone!”

Fans were quick to applaud Breckenridge, with one commenting: “Great to see you on TV. You’re beautiful as ever!”

Another remarked on her evident passion for cooking, suggesting, “You need a cooking show, maybe a YouTube channel.”

While renowned for her role as Mel Monroe in Virgin River, Breckenridge has found herself adapting to a different pace amid ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes, delaying production for the show’s sixth season.

Instead, she’s channeled her energy into cooking. In September, she shared with her followers, “I’m cooking more since I can’t go back to work or discuss it due to the SAG strike.”

Despite her current focus on culinary ventures, Breckenridge voiced her unfamiliarity with the promotion-heavy landscape of showbiz, stating, “Promotion or interviews can be stressful. I love cooking and sharing that with fans, strike or not.”

Virgin River enthusiasts have something to cheer about: the writers’ strike has ended, and storylines for season six are in the works.

The show’s official Instagram confirmed the writers’ return with a caption, “Thrilled to have our writing team back in action for Season 6!”

The post saw fans expressing their hopes for the upcoming season, emphasizing a desire for more uplifting narratives and more screen time for the beloved characters, Mel and Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson).
