Sandra Aguebor, aka Lady Mechanic, is Nigeria’s first female automotive mechanic, challenging gender norms with her 32-year career. Leading Sandex Car Care Garage for 22 years, she faced initial skepticism but persevered, working five times harder than her male counterparts. Inspired by her journey, Aguebor founded the Lady Mechanic Initiative, empowering over 1,000 vulnerable women in five Nigerian states to gain car repair skills and financial independence.
