Tim Curry to make rare public appearance eight years after stroke

British star of stage and screen has been using a wheelchair since 2012 stroke

Tim Curry will make a rare public appearance at a Rocky Horror Picture Show fundraising event eight years after suffering a stroke.

The British actor, who originated the role of Dr Frank-N-Furter on stage and reprized it in the classic 1975 film, will appear during a livestream reading of the original Rocky Horror script.

The event will take place in aid of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, with funds going to the Biden/Harris presidential campaign.

“Rocky Horror has been changing lives for decades, and now, with this reunion on Halloween Night to supercharge Wisconsin Democrats in the final stretch, it’s going to change the world again,” said party chairman Ben Wikler. “In the final sprint of this election, we don’t need a time warp.”

Also taking part in the star-studded reading will be original Rocky Horror actors Barry Bostwick and Nell Campbell, along with Jason Alexander, Seth Green, Rachel Bloom, Josh Gad, Taylor Schilling, Rosario Dawson and David Arquette.
