When will Tracker season 2 premiere?

As of now, CBS has not announced a premiere date for Tracker season 2, but the network has confirmed that the show will return in the 2024-2025 season.

The show has been in the works for a long time, with the pilot having been delivered to CBS in November 2022. However, Reisenbach told Deadline in January 2024 that she opted to delay the show’s debut to the 2023-2024 season to allow for more time to promote it.

“It was a great pilot and we said, okay, we’re not going to air it this season,” she told the outlet. “Maybe in previous years, we would have said, okay, we have the pilot in November, let’s air it in the spring. We said, let’s save it for next season.”

What did Justin Hartley say about Tracker?

Hartley not only stars in the show, but he’s also an executive producer — which means he gets to make some decisions about what to keep in the show from the book.

“I think the fact that Colter doesn’t have a girlfriend is one of the things I wanted to keep,” the This Is Us actor told PEOPLE magazine in February 2024. “I felt like if he had a wife and a girlfriend and a family, and he was still doing these dangerous things, it would be selfish.”

After the show was renewed, Hartley went on Live with Kelly and Mark in April 2024 to discuss how Tracker was his “labor of love.”

“When This Is Us ended, our executive producer, Ken Olin, came to me and said, ‘I really want to continue working with you,’ and I said, ‘Me too,’ ” he explained.

Hartley continued, “So we found this book, The Never Game, written by Jeffery Deaver, and took the character of Colter Shaw and developed it into a television series.”
