One of the most anticipated trials in recent years has begun. Bill Cosby, 79 years old, was officially tried.

The 79-year-old actor has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault following allegations from former basketball coach Andrea Constand that he drugged and sexually assaulted her at his home in 2004.
Cosby denies all charges and this week he went to court with the support of actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, who plays his daughter Rudy on The Cosby Show. His wife and four daughters – his son Ennis was murdered in 1996 – were nowhere to be found.

Pulliam was largely supported, and she told the media: “You are innocent until proven guilty and the job now is for both sides to prove their case and I accept whatever judgment is reached.”

Pullman was just 5 years old when she began playing Cosby’s youngest daughter Rudy in 1984, and in 1986 became the youngest actress ever nominated for an Emmy. After her time on the show ended in 1992, she graduated from college and participated in many different reality TV shows. In 2008, she starred in the TBS television series Tyler Perry’s House of Payne until 2012.

The 38-year-old actress just gave birth to her first child this year and has spoken out in support of Cosby. After accompanying him to the first day of his assault trial, she told reporters: “I came to support because this is where you hear the truth, this is where the truth happens go out. In the end, it’s easy to support someone…when everything looks great…but true family, friendship, integrity are how people show up and support when things don’t look great It’s great that they’re not shiny.”
After Rashad’s time playing Clair Huxtable, Cosby’s on-screen wife on The Cosby Show, she returned to work with the actor on the CBS sitcom Cosby from 1996 to 2000. In 2004, she became female. first black actor to win a Best Actress Tony Award. for her role in A Raisin in the Sun. She continued her career on Broadway, while also appearing in films such as Steel Magnolias.

She was married three times and had two children: William Lancelot Bowles III and Condola Phyleia Rashad.
