The Twilight Saga premiered in 2008 starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison
It’s been 15 years since Twilight hit the silver screen, influencing a phenomenon of romance fantasy for years to come.
The Twilight Saga was based on the successful book series written by Stephenie Meyer. The original Twilight novel was released in 2005, followed by New Moon in 2006, Eclipse in 2007 and Breaking Dawn in 2008.
Meyer’s book series were adapted into five movies, beginning with Twilight in 2008, The Twilight Saga: New Moon in 2009 and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in 2010, with the fourth and final book split into two separate movies, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 in 2011 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 in 2012.
The Twilight Saga featured several of the same cast members across all the films, with Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen at the helm. The movies also included Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, Nikki Reed as Rosalie Cullen, Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen, Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen and Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen. Other familiar faces were Anna Kendrick as Bella’s frienemy Jessica Stanley and Dakota Fanning as Volturi member Jane.
Both the book and movie series flooded the pop culture zeitgeist with the contentious debate of Team Edward or Team Jacob, and various on-set romances, like the relationship between Stewart and Pattinson, which ultimately ended in 2013.
With a decade of distance between the main actress and the final film, Stewart spoke to Entertainment Tonight in January 2022 about the resurgence of the films when they became available on streaming. She explained, “It’s weird because it feels incredibly far away and also still not that far away from me. … It’s rad. … I think it’s amazing.”
In honor of the 15th anniversary of the film that started it all, here’s where to watch every movie in The Twilight Saga film series.

Twilight (2008)
Bella moves from sunny Phoenix to the perpetually rainy town of Forks, Washington, to live with her father after her mother remarries. Bella befriends a group at school but becomes fascinated by Edward, whose family is a mystery around town.
Despite his attempts to keep his distance from the new girl, Bella and Edward grow closer, but he’s harboring a deep secret about himself and his family — they’re vampires. When Bella discovers what Edward is, the two grapple with their dueling desires and though Bella is mostly accepted into his family, another group of vampires put her at risk.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
Bella is on the cusp of her 18th birthday, and Alice plans a celebration with the Cullen family. When a mishap at the party puts Bella’s life in danger, Edward decides to leave to keep her safe. In his absence, Bella falls into a deep depression, and she realizes that she can see him when she puts herself into dangerous situations.
Her budding friendship with Jacob helps to pull her out of her slump, providing her warmth and solace while Edward is gone, but much like Edward, Jacob has a secret of his own — one that Bella can never know.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
After their time apart, Bella and Edward are enjoying being together again. However, their reunion is put in jeopardy when a string of mysterious murders occur in Seattle as a means of revenge on Bella and the Cullen family.
As Bella’s high school graduation approaches, she faces the difficult decision of becoming a vampire or remaining human, subsequently choosing between her romance with Edward and her friendship with Jacob.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 (2011)
In the weeks following their high school graduation, Bella and Edward get married and head off on a romantic honeymoon. The newlyweds happily experience the next chapter of their relationship until Bella realizes she is pregnant. Their post-wedding bliss is cut short when the baby starts growing at an abnormally fast rate, and Bella deals with a host of medical issues.
Her pregnancy also causes further tensions between the Cullen family and the wolf pack; the latter would consider Bella’s potential death a break of their longtime treaty. That said, the Cullens immediately try several methods to keep her safe, including contemplating giving her the one thing she has always wanted — to become a vampire.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 (2012)
Bella is adjusting to her life as a vampire, honing in on her newly possessed skills. All the while, she and Edward are watching as their daughter, Renesmee, grows up fast. The Cullens are put at risk once again when a fellow vampire sees Renesmee playing in the snow and assumes she is an immortal child (a child who was changed into a vampire).
They bring the news to the Volturi, believing the Cullens violated the law and turned a child into a vampire. To prove Renesmee is not a threat, they must gather their allies to stand up against the Volturi and keep their family intact.
