Who will star in Bridgerton season four?
According to Coughlan, two stars have been confirmed to return for season four. Speaking to The Wrap, the actress confirmed that both she and Newton will reprise their roles for season four.
‘They’ve told us we’re coming back for season four, which is fantastic… It’s going to be fun,’ she said. ‘[We’re] going to be back and it’s definitely going to be fun.’ No other cast members have been confirmed to return at the time of writing, but it’s safe to assume that Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton), who all joined the cast in season three, will all be back for Bridgerton’s fourth outing.
When will Bridgerton season four be released?
If you’ve already binge-watched the season three finale, we have some bad news for you. Brownell told The Hollywood Reporter at the season three premiere in June 2024 that it will be two years before the beloved series’ fourth season premiere.
‘We’re working to get the seasons out faster, but it takes eight months to shoot, then you have to edit, then you have to dub into every language,’ Brownell told the outlet.
‘And the writing process takes a long time, so it’s about two years,’ she added. ‘We’re trying to speed things up, but somewhere in that time frame.’
But fans of the show should be heartened by the showrunner’s assurance that season four is some of her ‘best work’ to date.
‘I’m really excited about what we’re writing. We’re getting close to the end of the writing season, with the scripts. And I feel like this is some of my best work and some of the writers’ room’s best work,’ she said. ‘We’ve just really clicked, and we’re firing on all cylinders, so I can’t wait for fans to see what we’ve got.’
