Will Bridgerton Recover? Season 3 Part 2 Sees Significant Decline in Global Interest

Following the episode drop of part two of season three of Netflix’s “Bridgerton” on June 13, JustWatch.com analyzed the split-season episode release model and found that global interest in part two episodes dropped by almost 49%.

While IMDb.com ratings for part two remained relatively close (7.9%) to part one (8.2%), the former only ranked No. 1 among viewers in four countries compared to ranking No. 1 in 11 countries for part one.

Regardless, season two of showrunner Shonda Rhimes’ “Bridgerton” re-imagined period drama remains the most popular with 78% global traction after seven days of release. That compares with 9.3% global traction for part one of season three and 3.4% traction for part two.

JustWatch created charts by pulling data from the week following the release of “Bridgerton,” and compared it to the previous two seasons. The company’s streaming charts are calculated by user activity,  including clicking on a streaming offer, adding a title to a watchlist, and marking a title as “seen”. This data is collected from more than 40 million movie & TV show viewers per month across 140 countries and 4,500 streaming services.
