Ha will play Sophie Beckett, a new character who will be introduced in the upcoming fourth season. Sophie debuted in An Offer From a Gentleman, which focuses on the love story of Benedict (Luke Thompson). Benedict and Sophie meet at his mother’s masquerade ball in a Cinderella-inspired story.
The official synopsis for the season reads: “The fourth season of Bridgerton focuses on free-spirited second son Benedict. Although both his brother and sister are happily married, Benedict is reluctant to settle down — until he meets the charming Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”
Benedict is confused by the Lady in Silver and can’t get Sophie out of his mind, even though he doesn’t even know her name. Benedict and Sophie meet again and slowly fall in love.
Sophie is one of Bridgerton’s most beloved characters. Despite the hardships she faces — including an evil stepmother — Sophie remains resilient and stubborn.
Where is Yerin Ha from?
Ha was born in Sydney, Australia to Korean parents. When she was 15, she trained for three years at the prestigious Kaywon High School of Performing Arts in Seoul, South Korea. Her grandparents were both actors.
She went on to study at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and also a minor in musical theater.
