For weeks now, Young & Restless‘ Jordan and Ian have been terrorizing the residents of Genoa City. But when it comes to fans, they seem to be more amused by the antics of the villains than anything, especially after last week’s scenes in which… well, let’s allow redditor Sharp-Ad-0423 to describe the action.
“When [Ian] was skulking in the coffeehouse, I thought he should be twirling a fake mustache like Snidely Whiplash,” they opined on the r/youngandtherestless subreddit.
Another commenter said they were “surprised he isn’t tip-toeing everywhere… or standing in the corner with a lampshade on his head!”
“Surely no one noticed that man literally slinking around in all black with a hat and sunglasses,” opined redditor MerelyWhelmed1. (“So inconspicuous!” replied ladynocaps2, saucily.
The hilariously named BearPoopInTheWoods had a theory as to why Ian didn’t break out an appropriate-for-twirling mustache: “They are saving [it] for That Jordan Woman’s next disguise!”
Elsewhere on Reddit, other questions regarding the storyline bubbled to the surface. “Are these two criminal geniuses sleeping in that double bed together every night,” asked melodie-artist, “spooning as they plot?”
As to where this storyline is going, the general consensus seems to be that the twisted twosome eventually will turn on one another. “They will tear each other apart before pulling off their cons,” predicted redditor depictionofmood.
One thing is for certain: We’ll get to know Jordan and Ian much better in the coming days. In fact, this week’s spoilers indicate that we’ll kick things off with a major revelation regarding the pair’s past connection to one another. And as if Jordan needs anyone to encourage her worst instincts, Ian will act as the devil on her shoulder, encouraging Claire’s evil auntie to… well, be even more wicked than she’s proven to be so far!
