Were we to walk a mile in the shoes of The Young and the Restless’ Sharon, we’d want nothing so much as to be pointed in the direction of answers — in particular where our supposed murder of Heather Stevens is concerned. So on Monday, December 16, she undergoes hypnosis with Alan in hopes of remembering exactly what happened the fateful night Lucy’s mother was killed.
Sharon knows that it’s a long shot that something will come to mind that exonerates her. But even a slim chance is better than none. And, as it turns out, the session does yield results — one big one, in fact. “There is a key thing that comes out,” portrayer Sharon Case tells Soap Opera Digest. “She recalls some new information about what happened in Daniel’s apartment the night that Heather died.”
While the info isn’t likely to be enough to get Sharon off the hook, it is enough to restore her motivation. The discovery “gives her a lot more… drive to keep pushing forward to solve this whole mystery,” Case says. After all, if she could’ve blocked out this morsel of intel, who knows what else has slipped her mind, especially while she was on her tampered-with meds!
